Tesla, the American electric vehicle maker, recently rolled out the Holiday Software Update that pleased a lot of Tesla EV owners. But, Tesla owners have a lot of things to look forward to from the company. Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently confirmed that Disney+ would soon arrive on Tesla Theater.
On the social networking site Twitter, Tesla Owners of Massachusetts (@TeslaOwnersofMA) requested that Disney+, the popular video streaming service of Disney, be included in the Tesla Theater's list of services. Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the tweet and confirmed that the video streaming on-demand service would be available. However, the CEO did not reveal any release window except for the 'coming soon' cliche.
Disney+ is one of the newest but very popular videos on-demand streaming service, which was launched on Nov. 12, 2019. A day after it was officially launched, it accumulated 10 million subscribers. A success, other streaming services like HBO needed three years to accomplish.
With Disney+ on Tesla Theater, owners could enjoy their favorite classic Disney films like "The Lion King," "Wall-E," and action fantasy movies like "Avengers Endgame." "Star Wars" fans could even enjoy watching the TV series "Mandalorian" on their Tesla Theater with the arrival of Disney+. It is worth noting that Tesla Theater was introduced during the mid-September update rolled out by the company this year.
This latest feature enables Tesla EV owners to transform their electric vehicles into a mobile movie theater that rivals the traditional movie experience. Musk revealed the concept in July and said that the Tesla vehicles' comfortable seats, big dashcam screen, and high-quality surround sound audio system would encourage enthusiasts to enjoy their favorite movies and TV series in the comfort of their Tesla vehicles. At present, Tesla Theater features popular streaming services like Hulu and Netflix and comes with Twitch, YouTube, and a channel for Tesla Tutorials.
The addition of Disney+ on Tesla Theater will provide owners with more choices for the variety of movies and TV shows that they would like to enjoy. Although Tesla Theater offers Caraoke and Tesla Arcade, Theater enables users to catch up on their favorite TV series and just relax. The entertainment features that the electric vehicle maker continuously adds to its vehicles make sure that users will have an unparalleled driving experience that traditional auto manufacturers have yet to offer.
The latest Holiday Software Update also introduces music-maker app Trax. It allows Tesla owners to create their own masterpiece at the comfort of their vehicles.
