BTS just completed their Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest performance, where they helped kick off 2020 with other entertainers. But because of their busy schedule, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook didn’t have extra time to stroll around New York and they headed back home on January 1.
But as they arrived at the airport, two boys who are easy to mix-up seemed to play games with everyone again. Basing on their airport fashion alone, it appears like BTS arrived in Korea from New York with two Sugas and no Jimin.
RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have distinctive styles, which is why ARMYs can easily tell them apart even from afar or in the dark. As for Suga, he is known for his laid-back airport fashion that consists of a bucket hat, loose shirts, and oversized jackets.
Jimin, on the other hand, is known for his slim-fit airport fashion. The BTS star enjoys wearing an ensemble that flaunts his enviable physique, like a pair of skinny jeans and tight sweaters. He then accessorizes with a baseball cap to complete his look. Sometimes, Jimin would even wear his heeled shoes to the airport.
With this in mind, the media and ARMYs would base these distinctive styles to know who’s who when they depart or arrive in the airport as the BTS boys would usually wear a mask, except for Jin. Since Suga and Jimin have identical height and similar body frames, it’s quite easy to mistake one with the other.
When BTS headed to New York on December 30, Suga wore a slim-fit ensemble, making him look like Jimin, while Jimin wore an oversized jacket and a bucket hat, making him look like Suga.
This time, however, was different. Both Suga and Jimin wore the same style that the BTS main rapper is mostly known for. They both wore oversized black jackets, black hats, and white masks that covered more than half of their faces. The only difference is that one member was wearing a newsboy hat (Suga), and the other one was wearing a baseball cap (Jimin). (Watch the video here).
The pair looked so much alike that even eagle-eyed ARMYs couldn’t tell who’s who right away. “Suga and Jimin once again playing the ‘who is jimin who is suga’ game,” one wrote.
This is certainly not the first time that Suga and Jimin confused everyone during their airport arrival and departure moments. In fact, a publication even made a major mistake when the article was written about Jimin and the featured photo was Suga.
