Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle going to be removed from the royal family? Speculations about the Sussex royals' status within The Firm have been cropping up once again after Buckingham Palace released a photo of Queen Elizabeth and her heirs, which did not include the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The said photo was a celebration of a new decade under the monarch with her three direct heirs -- Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge and Prince George. It was the second-ever portrait released for just the four royals following a 2016 photo to mark the Queen's 90th birthday.

According to Daily Express, the image might also be a reflection of Prince Charles' plan to streamline the royal family to limit the number of working royals benefiting from taxpayers. As it is, Prince Andrew has, reportedly, been excluded from recent royal events and some say Prince Harry and Meghan could suffer the same fate upon their return to London after their long holiday break.

Speculations about Prince Harry and Meghan's exit in the royal family was further ignited when Queen Elizabeth did not include photos of the Sussex royals in her most recent Christmas speech. For royal expert Ingrid Seward, this was another sign that the monarchy is planning to slim down. Seward said that Prince Harry and Meghan's problems with the media could have worried Queen Elizabeth; hence, the photo omission.

Star also published in its printed edition that Queen Elizabeth, allegedly, "kicked out" Prince Harry and Meghan for missing the royal family's annual Christmas celebration, thus the missing photograph. A source, allegedly, told the tabloid that Her Majesty will be "cutting off" the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as revoking their royal home and income as they failed to come to their senses about their royal roles.

However, Gossip Cop provided clarity about the significance of the photos. It did not include Prince Harry and Meghan simply because the focus was on the lineage of the monarchy.

Prince Charles is the next in line to the throne when Queen Elizabeth dies or abdicates. When the right time comes, he will pass down the crown to his eldest son, Prince William, who will be followed by his first-born son with Kate Middleton, Prince George. Prince Charles, William, and George are the future monarchs of England while Prince Harry will never become a monarch unless something happens to the direct heirs as he is further down the line of succession.
