The recent CES 2020 event is not the scheduled time for Microsoft to truly show off its next-generation gaming console, the Xbox Series X. But, thanks to a few teasers, we have the chance to know several details about the powerful Xbox. While Microsoft has not yet revealed the official name of its next-generation Xbox gaming console, the teasers confirm come of the hardware capabilities that might be in the console at launch.

The first wave of details about the Xbox Series X comes from AMD, which generously shows a 360-degree view of the Xbox, in one of its presentations, boasting about the gaming console's processor. While the moment was brief, the power of the Internet allowed us to know what the backside of the gaming console would offer. Based on the video, it appears that Microsoft retains the two HDMI ports at the back.

A couple of USB-C ports joins the two HDMI ports without any sign of a full-sized USB slot, but maybe, there is one in the front. The visible two-pin connector suggests that the power supply of the Xbox Series X is inside. Sadly, it turns out that the video shared by AMD is hardly a teaser after all.

Apparently, it was AMD's own making and was not based on any data from Microsoft, says Slashgear. Thurrott's Brad Sams tried to get a statement from the company to set the record straight. It turns out what the company is teasing comes from the Xbox Boss Phil Spencer.

Earlier, the head of Xbox changed his profile on the social networking site Twitter with a new photo showing the custom AMD processor of the Xbox Series X. Aside from the engraved 8K, no other details are revealed in the photo. The processor also comes with the text, "Project Scarlett." fans and tech enthusiasts noticed that the processor is thick, which Phil Spencer earlier hinted.

It appears that the higher power output needed some big changes in the design, which would explain the massive size of Microsoft's next-generation gaming console. Microsoft's Xbox Series X will arrive sometime in the holiday of 2020. In other words, fans could expect more news and leaks about Microsoft's next-generation gaming console between now and its release window.

We still know very little about the Xbox Series X, aside from the official details given by Microsoft earlier. We suggest not to get too excited from leaks and speculations since these are not from Xbox. In this case, it is safe to take these leaks with a pinch of salt.
