Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took a much-needed break after all the hate and criticisms became a little too much for them to handle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then decided to spend the holidays in the U.S. with their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned from their trip and are resuming their royal obligations. Since they temporarily left the spotlight on a bad note, the Duke of Sussex appeared to be surprised with the support that they received in their recent outing.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently arrived at Canada House in London to visit High Commissioner Her Excellency Janice Charette to thank the country for their hospitality during their trip. This marked the royal couple’s first public appearance following their six-week break. While they were given the guided tour, the Duke of Sussex was visibly shocked to see a large group of people waiting in the foyer and up the stairs.
The royal couple’s official Instagram account shared a montage video on the platform of their visit to Canada House. The caption read: “Today, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Canada House in London to thank the High Commissioner Janice Charette and staff for the warm hospitality during their recent stay in Canada.”
It continued: “The Duke and Duchess have a strong connection to Canada. It’s a country The Duke of Sussex has visited many times over the years and it was also home to The Duchess for seven years before she became a member of The Royal Family. Thank you, Canada!”
This recent appearance appears to be a great start for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. After dealing with a lot of criticisms, this positivity is what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex need to get back on the right track.
Last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received a lot of backlashes that they felt that they had no choice but to sue a couple of publications to teach them a lesson. Unfortunately for the royal couple, the public and media didn’t like their approach at all. So, instead of getting sympathy, they received more criticism over it.
In October, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a documentary where they candidly revealed the pressures they have faced as a couple. It was also during the ITV program when the former actress shared her struggles after joining the royal family.
As expected, it didn’t help how critics perceive Meghan Markle at all. If there was a change, it was for the worst.
