IU seems lucky to have a week of vacation last year. She is expected to be busier than ever in 2020. Aside from her music, IU is also set to star in her first commercial film this year.

IU, recently, revealed that she only had one week of vacation in 2019. During a guest appearance in MBC FM's Kim Eana's Night Letter show, the "Good Day" singer was asked about her 2019.

She admitted that she did not have much time to rest last year. The Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo actress said she only had a week of rest as it was a very busy year for her.

"I didn't get a chance to rest at all. Looking at the calendar, I saw that during one year I only go to rest for a week. It really was a busy year," she said.

IU, however, assured that her mental health is great but her body is tired. She is grateful that her Love, Poem concert tour is now over but work doesn't stop there for her.

The "Bbibbi" hitmaker has been confirmed to star in a movie, tentatively titled Dream, alongside Hallyu heartthrob Park Seo Joon. The What's Wrong With Secretary Kim actor has been confirmed in October 2019 to take the male lead role.

Dream tells the story of a group of people who are trying out for the Homeless World Cup, an annual international soccer event. The team is led by coach Yoon Hong Dae (Seo Joon), a professional soccer player on disciplinary probation.

While he is on the brink of losing a career, Yoon Hong Dae ends up becoming the coach of an unusual soccer team with crew of inexperienced players. Extreme Job director Lee Byun Hun is set to helm the project.

IU's old agency, KakaoM, announced earlier this year that the actress will be joining the film. Details about IU's character has yet to be revealed but it was reported that she will be the lead female character in the movie.

IU's most recent K-drama was Hotel Del Luna with Yeo Jin Goo. She also starred in the anthology web TV series, Persona, that was aired over at Netflix.

Meanwhile, IU also signed up with a new agency. This week, it was announced that she along with her entire team have moved to EDAM Entertainment. The label was established by IU's manager of more than a decade, Bae Jong Han.

EDAM Entertainment is a subsidiary of IU's old label KakaoM. The 26-year-old singer/actress is the first artist of the new company.
