After their six-week break that started in the early weeks of November, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are now officially back for their royal duties. It is unknown when exactly the Sussex family returned from Canada but they were spotted, earlier this week, for their first public engagement of the year.

On Tuesday, the royal couple "stepped out" from their home to visit various locations in London. It was reported, however, by different publications that the highlight of their day was their visit to Canada House.

According to People, the palace's official spokesperson stated that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry met there the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Janice Charette. This is to "show appreciation" for the "Canadian hospitality" that their family received during their stay in the country.

It was also revealed that the Sussex couple chose to meet with the official in the "British Columbia Room" since they stayed in Vancouver Island, British Columbia during their vacation.

As they make their first public appearance, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were also reported to pass by other locations aside from the Canada House.

Sources from Glamour attested that they first privately visited the Hubb Community Kitchen, which was revealed to be Meghan's first community collaboration she did upon becoming the Duchess of Sussex. The reports also noted that the duchess just wanted to "stop by" to get updates and to "check in" with the staff.

Although it was not revealed what happened in their visit, many fans and supporters deemed the Sussex couple's first engagement of the year as a very successful one. Express UK even shared what the netizens have to say about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

As revealed by the publication, the avid followers of the Sussex couple shared their praise and "appreciation" toward the two royals for their public appearance this week. Most of these thoughts were even shared on various social media platforms to make their "support" known for the couple.

There were also photos and videos shared showing how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were largely welcomed by the public. While some fans' and watchers' praises were made toward the engagement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did, others' recognitions toward the couple were particular with the appearance and ambiance that they showed throughout their tour.

Based on general reception, the vacation that they had in the United States and Canada seemed to have made things better for the duke and duchess. "They looked happy and well-energized," one commented.
