Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi got engaged a few months ago. Upon learning the good news, many royal fans and supporters cheered for the York princess' life event.
Not only that, it was another milestone for the Royal Family but, the upcoming wedding will probably also be the last royal wedding for the near decades to come. So, it is not surprising why many were glad about the news.
However, the dynamic of this narrative seemingly changed after the matriarch of the York household. Prince Andrew broke his silence about his affiliations with the infamous Jeffrey Epstein. As it happened, he was slammed and criticized after his controversial interview with BBC.
Because of the commotion that he and his interview created, the outlook toward Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's wedding seemingly changed. Several royal experts are certain that it will be very suitable for the couple to have a "private" wedding, and possibly out of the United Kingdom.
As of the time being, no word has been given yet to the public regarding the details of the upcoming wedding. For all everyone knows, it will happen this spring of 2020.
Unfortunately, it was reported by Vanity Fair, along with other reputed publications, that BBC will not have a "televised" schedule for the royal event. Although it was not explained as to why the wedding will not be covered, both correspondents and fans are convinced that it is all because of Prince Andrew.
Even so, the national network said to Daily Mail that they would have "news coverage" across the platform's services rather than showing a "live link." It is not clear, though, how wide the said coverage will be.
As per assertions, this seems to be the first time that the network decided to "shun" a royal wedding. It is also worth noting that, for some reason, BBC has been given rights to royal occasions "for free," and the avoidance to take advantage of this rare offering reportedly paints a lot of pictures.
The publication also shared that the same is true for ITV. However, the network has not given any comment or statement regarding their decision to not televise Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's wedding.
In a similar scoop released by Express UK, it was shared that Prince Andrew did not attend his daughter's engagement party last December. It was also previously reported that Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi "canceled" their original party plans because of the controversies that Duke of York has been facing.
With these things at hand, it makes a lot more people so sure that Prince Andrew might be the biggest factor why these networks decided to avoid the live televising of the upcoming wedding.
