In the past, Prince William and Kate Middleton used to attend the same royal events with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and this was the reason the public dubbed them as the royal Fab Four. But with the Sussexes scaling back on their royal duties, the Cambridge couple will reportedly be teaming up with the Wessexes, Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys Jones, in an upcoming royal engagement.

According to People, Prince William and Kate will be joined by Prince Edward and Sophie for a royal reception in Buckingham Palace on Monday, June 20. The new Fab Four will host the UK-Africa Investment Summit on behalf of Queen Elizabeth.

Prince Edward is Prince William's uncle, who has a senior royal family member ranking. Also apparently joining them for this event is Princess Anne, Prince Edward's older sister, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

According to Yahoo, the latest summit aims to educate businesses and other institutions on the many investment opportunities in the region of Africa. It will also be a showcase of the economic commitments of the U.K. with many jobs and partnerships created there.

People went on to report that this is unusual for Prince Edward and Sophie to be attending such a high-profile affair. But the change comes as Prince Harry and Meghan expressed that they will be staying in Canada for half the time beginning this year.

Meanwhile, royal biographer Penny Junor revealed that Prince Harry was supposed to be Prince William's "secret weapon." The brothers were initially set out to work side-by-side once the Duke of Cambridge becomes the King of England.

Junor said that Prince Harry was supposed to compliment Prince William in aspects that the future monarch might not be good at. However, Prince Harry decided that his path will be different after marrying Meghan. As a result, the royal family is now going through a transition as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex essentially want less involvement in royal events.

In October 2019, Prince Harry said that he and his older brother are pursuing different directions. In January 2020, Prince William said that he and his brother are now separate entities, but he's still hoping they will be on the same page when the time comes.

Despite the reported separation, Queen Elizabeth announced that she is supportive of Prince Harry and Meghan's plan to live a different royal life. Buckingham is currently making arrangements and finalizes this transition.
