It’s no secret that Jimin is the shortest member of BTS. Although he is considered to have an average height (1.73 m or 5’8”), he looks pretty short when he stands beside the rest of the BTS members.
In Run BTS! Episode 92, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were playing the “True or False” game where they have to vote “O” if they agree with the question or statement, and “X” if they disagree. Question number three read: “V has the second-longest arms in BTS.” Before they decide to vote for “O” or “X,” each of the boys needed to be measured.
Since RM is the tallest member of the group, standing at 1.81 m or 5’11, most members believe that he will have the longest arms while V will have the second-longest reach. However, Jimin begged to disagree. “Wait. Why aren’t you mentioning me?” he asked.
Since the length of one’s arms has nothing to do with height, as pointed out by J-Hope, Jimin claims that he has the longest arms in BTS. He even said that he would beat RM. “Are you excited to measure my arm length?” Jimin asked the boys.
Jimin, then, stood extremely straight, elongating each part of his body. The BTS star wanted to prove the rest of his members wrong for not choosing him as having the longest arms so much that he exerted extra effort to lengthen his arm to the point that it distorted his face. The 24-year-old singer, songwriter, and dancer looked so funny that J-Hope laughed out loud. But for Jimin, it was an important matter. “I’m nervous. This is more important than anything else,” he said.
It is worth noting that Jimin was the second to the last member to be measured. The rest were already done, except for V, and as expected, RM was on the top spot with 79.8 cm reach.
With this in mind, Jimin was extremely pressured. He kept distracting the measuring part by suddenly doing a series of stretching and arm exercises. Finally, Jungkook managed to measure his arm length, and the golden maknae appeared to be in awe with the result.
“Jimin!” Jungkook exclaimed. “What?” a very hopeful Jimin asked. That’s when Jungkook announced the truth, that Jimin has the shortest arms with 73.3 cm.
