Chicago Med season 5 episode 13 will be airing on NBC within a few weeks, with the title "Pain Is for the Living". There is no new episode airing next week, but some details about the upcoming episode have been revealed. Here's what viewers can expect.

In Chicago Med season 5 episode 13, two brothers have been rushed to the hospital by their parents and both of them were in a critical condition. The situation left Dr. Charles, Dr. Choi, and April tend to their care, but then wondered what really transpired.

The story of these two brothers is mysterious for now, and it's yet to be revealed what lies beyond their critical condition. Based on the synopsis, the doctors found something odd, which could turn the situation completely different.

As for what else is coming on Chicago Med season 5 episode 13, a new mother enters the E.D. but Dr. Manning becomes suspicious about her. Meanwhile, the tireless activities of Dr. Halstead on at the safe injection site have started to take a toll on his work.

In another report, episode 12 sees Dr. Marcel and Dr. Manning working together to save the lives of two kids due to a school bus crash. The episode, titled "Leave the Choice to Solomon," started with a crossover wherein Chicago Fire's Lt Kelly Severide was the first responder on site.

The three discussed options to proceed, but Dr. Manning thinks it would be risky to move both kids together. Things get even dangerous as Dr. Marcel believes that freeing one of them means the other one would die. Thus, the need to make the right choice before it's too late.

Eventually, Dr. Manning agreed and chose to do the risky move. They moved the two kids -- Kate and Henry -- while the rod still intact between them. The doctors operate both kids separately and things aren't really going well at first.

Thankfully, both Kate and Henry were saved, though Dr. Manning knows that no other doctor would've made the decision moving both kids together. When she asked Dr. Marcel about it, he replied: "No one should have to lose a child."

This is an unexpected response from the character, but this side of him is a revelation not only to Dr. Manning -- but for the viewers as well. He's always making a risky and dangerous decision, but the episode likely hints what he's been through in the past.

Chicago Med season 5 episode 13 is set to air on Wednesday, Feb. 5, on NBC.
