In The Outsider episode 5, Holly returned from an eye-opening trip to New York. Now, she will do her best to search for clues at several locations connected to the Dayton cases. The episode will see the character finding out similarities between the cases.
Holly discovers there's much more to the "open and shut" case of Terry Maitland than she originally thought. One of the things that stand out is that the cases are likely similar and somehow connected. So, she continues searching for clues.
Also, it's bizarre how similar the circumstances are for the victims and convicts, and how they'd all been in close vicinity to each other. Now, a pattern has started to show up, and it doesn't point to the direction that Holly or Anderson would expect.
Holly tried to bring back the case to Terry in The Outsider episode 5. She believes there's a supernatural creature murdering children and taking others' identities. The next step is to inform others about it, but this might not be easy for her.
For instance, Anderson didn't believe such things. But in the previous episode, it seems like he started to believe in some unexplainable situations. A boy told Anderson how he had lost the van, noting he didn't just abandon the vehicle.
The boy claimed someone took it from him, the same hooded figure who's been popping every time something bad happens. He drew the hooded man, so they would be able to see what creature he's talking about. This could lead to Anderson, believing that a supernatural creature is behind the cases.
Meanwhile, The Outsider continues improving in total viewers with each episode over the past few weeks. Many started to watch the Stephen King adaptation, especially with its interesting plot. Also, quality is the biggest selling point of HBO, and then it will continue to build an audience over time.
