Chris Brown has sparked new dating rumors with Rihanna after he shared a post that suggested he still in love with his ex-girlfriend. In a now-deleted post on Instagram, the rapper admitted that he is still in love with someone from his past, which made many fans believe that he is talking about RiRi.
The 30-year-old rapper shared a video of him smiling flirtatiously in a past interview. In the post, Brown talked about an ex but he did not mention who the "her" he is referring to.
"When someone asks, after all this time... why are you still in love WITH HER? My ANSWER: BECAUSE TIME HAS NO RELEVANCE WHEN IT'S UNCONDITIONAL," he wrote in the caption and added a red heart emoji in the end.
Brown shut off the comments on his post after it was flooded with reactions from netizens. The Indigo hitmaker has since deleted the post following the speculations that this is Brown's way of making it known that he still wants Rihanna back.
Many commented that the "No Guidance" singer is most likely talking about Rihanna and the two could be together again as both of them are single at the moment. The "Diamonds" hitmaker recently broke up with her Arab billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel. The two dated for almost three years.
It is still unclear who Brown is referring to in his post as he has other celebrity exes. He dated actress Karrueche Tran from 2011 to 2015. There were also rumors that Brown is, currently, dating model Ammika Harris, the mother of his new son, Aeko. They welcomed their first child together in November 2019.
Rihanna and Brown, on the other hand, started dating in 2008. They broke up the following year after the R&B singer got arrested for physically assaulting Rihanna. Brown pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to five years of probation.
They briefly reconciled in 2012 and collaborated on two songs. However, they split again in 2013.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Rihanna admitted that she still cares about Brown but also hinted that she had closed that chapter of her life. The singer suggested that she has no interest in rekindling her romance with the rapper again.
However, it can be noted that this is not the first time that Brown sparked romance speculation with Rihanna. He constantly stirred rumors that something is going on between him and the Ocean's 8 actress every time he commented on RiRi's posts on social media.
In October 2019, Rihanna shared on Instagram a video to promote her Fenty Beauty products. It sparked controversy because of her choice of background music. The "Umbrella" singer used Chris Brown and H.E.R.'s collaboration "Come Together" in the clip.
Brown commented on the post. He first posted a red heart emoji and then followed it up with another comment calling RiRi "QUEEN." He also reposted the singer/actress' video on his Instagram story.
