There has been a big misunderstanding between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton's fans. When the Duchess of Sussex's best friend, Jessica Mulroney, shared a cryptic post on Instagram, some believed it was a subtle ditch to the future queen consort's hard work. This annoyed the loyal Cambridges' followers, who shook the Twitter world with their comments.
Jessica Mulroney made an Instagram story, calling out an unnamed person for posting pretty pictures. "Pretty pictures are pretty pictures. Strive to use your platform for good and spread stories of incredible people striving to make this world a better place," the post read.
At the time, Prince William and Kate Middleton regularly updated their Instagram page, Kensington Palace, with their photos to commemorate the Holocaust Memorial Day. As the timing seemed uncanny, fans believed Jessica Mulroney was pertaining to the Duchess of Cambridge, per Express.
One fan questioned Jessica Mulroney and what good she spread in the world. Another one added that she only made the world better with her photos, "one a** pic at a time." There is also a follower that accused Meghan Markle's pal of being a Jewish, who was questioning someone's move to honour the victims of the Holocaust.
Jessica Mulroney's husband, Ben Mulroney, tried to intervene to stop the Twitter war. He cleared that his wife was only trying to raise funds and awareness for the victims of Flight 752, where 63 Canadian nationals died when the Iranian missiles shot down the Ukraine International Airline.
After Jessica Mulroney shared a post about it, Ben Mulroney explained that she accompanied it with an IG story. He then called out the people who tried to twist the post into anything else.
However, Kate Middleton's fans didn't buy Ben Mulroney's explanation. One follower even maintained that he was only trying to say it wasn't what Jessica Mulroney was trying to say, but she didn't mention anything about fundraising in her post.
According to BuzzFeed, at the time of Jessica Mulroney's post, Kensington Palace released a couple of photos of two Holocaust survivors with their families to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the historic event's end. Kate Middleton herself took the photos that would be part of the Royal Photographic Society exhibit, which would open later this year. It would feature the photos of Holocaust survivors living in the U.K. Later, it also shared some information about the project that included the statement of Prince William's wife about the move and meeting the survivors.
