Prince William and Kate Middleton made a significant statement at the recent 73rd British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Albert Hall when they re-wore their old outfits. But apart from their looks, all eyes were also on them when the Duke of Cambridge looked pained when Brad Pitt made a joke about his brother's, Prince Harry, controversial royal exit. Did the future king get offended by the actor's jest?

Brad Pitt won the Supporting Actor BAFTA for his role as Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. But as he was not around to accept the award, his co-star, Margot Robbie, did the honor on his behalf, per Daily Mail.

The Birds of Prey star read his speech letter that started with a dig at Brexit. "Hey Britain, heard you just became single, welcome to the club!" he said. After Brad Pitt thanked a lot of people, including the film director Quentin Tarantino, he ended his speech with a nod to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal exit.

"I'm going to name this award, Harry," he joked, explaining that he was excited to bring the award home with him to the States. The cameras then panned to Prince William and Kate Middleton, who were both clapping at the time.

However, although the Duchess of Cambridge was laughing at the joke, her husband looked troubled about it. To recall, Prince Harry already moved to Canada to be with his wife and son, baby Archie, after they announced their plan to step down as senior members of the royal family.

Before the Duke of Sussex left the United Kingdom, he admitted he was sad to leave the royal family. However, he revealed he and Meghan Markle were left with no other option but to quit their senior royal duties.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton followed BAFTA's move to be sustainable by wearing their old outfits again. The royal couple walked down the red carpet, donning their stunning recycled clothes.

Once again, the future queen consort stunned everyone with her embroidered white Alexander McQueen dress with gold details. According to Express, she already donned this ensemble in their Malaysia tour in 2012. Her husband, on the other hand, wore a tuxedo he also donned before.

It was not the first time that Kate Middleton recycled her favorite outfits, and she was never shied doing it. BAFTA worked with the London College of Fashion to make guidance for guests on how to make sustainable fashion choices as part of the ceremony's first-ever carbon neutral effort.
