Owning a new car would understandably arouse the curiosity of anyone. However, there are risks involved especially when it has something to do with the safety of the driver and its occupants. The Tesla Dyno Mode has been making its round as of late with reports that some are activating the said feature.

Tesla's Dyno Mode is something that disables the safety systems of the electric vehicle. This is normally done when testing the car on a dynamometer. When turned on, this disables the safety features of the vehicle. Videos have surfaced as of late and Tesla owners are urged not to be swayed by tinkering with the said feature, Electrek.co reported.

Especially for people who drive their Teslas on public roads, it would be best to leave the Dyno Mode feature alone. The likelihood of crashing the car and endangering lives is a strong possibility. Significant damage could occur and it is something that will need a long time to repair. Most vehicle owners know the inconvenience this brings, hence a friendly advisory to avoid such. For a better idea of the damage ahead, check out the video below.

Among the features that Tesla's Dyno Mode will disable include traction control, automatic emergency braking and stability control. The emergency braking control was shown in full display in a previous post, showing how drivers have full control with the vehicle's handling more predictable.

Though it was not mentioned, a reason why some have been disabling Dyno mode was perhaps that they wanted to go faster. If this is the case, there is another way to go about it.

In the case of the Tesla Model 3 Performance, there is a Track Mode that can be used. It recalibrates the car's traction and stability control systems, focusing more on performance than safety. It is normally used by professional car drivers for optimal control in track situations.

The Tesla Dyno Mode feature was originally supposed to be a secret feature. In fact, some never know there was such a thing before drivers started sharing instructions on how to activate it. Before it spread out, Tesla did not release information on how to activate the said mode.

Uncovering the said feature is something but dangerous. Maximizing what Tesla vehicles can do is understandable but not at the expense of putting lives at risk. It is advisable to avoid it and simply enjoy the ride. For those who have that itch for more power, there are other safer ways to do so.
