Fans weren't thrilled about Horrible Bosses 2 more so for another chapter, and yet, there are rumors that Jason Bateman, Jennifer Aniston, and the rest of the cast are returning for part three. However, Aniston is allegedly asking for a huge payment for her to reprise her role in the movie.

According to the National Enquirer, the Friends actress has been approached to appear on Horrible Bosses 3. But she allegedly hinted that she is done doing comedy and only wants to accept "serious roles" following the success of her TV drama series The Morning Show.

The publication also claimed cast members Jason Bateman and Charlie Day are begging Aniston to return for another sequel, but the actress is asking for a bump on her paycheck. Jen is allegedly asking for $20 million payment. Moreover, the actress is also allegedly having second thoughts about signing up for another installment because of the underperformance of Horrible Bosses 2 in the box office.

"Getting Jen onboard is key because there isn't a movie without her. The trouble is...She's done giving discounts for sequels that may or may not work at the box office," the anonymous source told the tabloid.

Gossip Cop dismissed all claims of the tabloid, citing Aniston's rep statement that denied the report that the actress is doing Horrible Bosses 3. Jen's camp also denied that the actress is asking for a bump on her paycheck.

The outlet also stressed that Aniston hasn't turned her back on doing comedy projects. In fact, she is expected to return to Murder Mystery 2. In October, Netflix announced that a sequel to their comedy movie Murder Mystery is already in the works, and both lead stars Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are expected to return for the sequel.

Another loophole in Enquirer's story is the fact that Bateman had already hinted that another sequel for Horrible Bosses is unnecessary after its second chapter did not do well at the box office. In the actor's 2015 interview at Marc Maron's WTF podcast (via E! News), he even called Horrible Bosses 2 a "garbage."

The actor admitted that fans had fun with the first Horrible Bosses. The cast had tried to make an equally fun sequel, and they got paid for it. However, the reality was the audience was not interested in seeing another sequel; hence it didn't perform well in the box office.

This clearly showed that the Ozark actor is also unlikely to reprise his role in the movie if there will be a third chapter. This also made the claim that Bateman asked Jen to return in part three more unbelievable.
