Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will reportedly tie the knot on May 29 at The Chapel Royal, St James's Palace.

The confirmation was said to be released by Buckingham Palace later this week. Although it took a while before the announcement came, royal fans and supporters are just glad to know that the date is already set.

The couple got engaged last September in Italy. Since then, a lot of people have become quite interested in the details of the upcoming nuptials.

However, a lot has happened within the British Royal Family. Aside from Prince Andrew's infamous and "disastrous" interview, he also announced his "early retirement" from royal duties.

This unfortunate event was then followed by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's announcement of stepping down as senior royals. So, many are convinced that Princess Beatrice's wedding has been "overshadowed" by these challenges that the monarchy has been facing.

It is worth noting, though, that several reports from previous weeks already marked the given date for the royal's wedding. While it was only based on sources' assertions, it seemingly appears that a lot of people already know the details before the actual announcement.

As for the venue, BBC News shared that the chapel has been a popular choice for royal weddings and christening for many centuries now. As revealed, this is also where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert got married in 1840.

Aside from being a popular choice, the Chapel Royal was also said to be "adjacent" to Princess Beatrice's home. Accordingly, it largely tells the "scale and nature" of the event.

Reports further claimed that the venue can only cater to 150 guests. Also, it will not be televised by ITV.

With this kind of dynamic, the eldest York Princess' wedding will be far different from what Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank had in 2018. This is because the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew had over 800 guests. The entirety of the event was televised. Not to mention, the ceremony of her wedding was held at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, similar to what Prince Harry and Lady Gabriella Windsor had in the same year.

As per ITV News, the nature of Princess Beatrice's wedding is likely affected by the controversies that the Royal Family has been facing these last few months. Even so, it was said that Queen Elizabeth II offered Buckingham Palace for the reception of the royal event, to which the soon-to-be-married couple reportedly accepted.
