We often perceive our dogs as happy and goofy creatures living their lives to the fullest. They know how to love unconditionally, make their moments the best it can be, or even enjoy every second they have with their owners and loved ones.

But did you know that though these creatures are filled with joy and fun in their hearts, there are still several times our dogs experience sad moments too? Unfortunately, most of these are caused by you. Here are some of the things owners do that creates huge lasting emotional scars in the hearts of their beloved pet.

PUNISHING THEM SO MUCH DUE TO THEIR BATHROOM ACCIDENTS

A dog, no matter how good they are, oftentimes experience potty accidents, which is completely normal. These accidents happen due to several reasons. Sometimes, they are just not trained enough to do their bathroom breaks perfectly. Oftentimes, there is suffering from certain illnesses. These illnesses include tumors, infections, kidney disease, spinal cord injuries, and even bladder problems, as reported by Vet Street.

Given these reasons, it is crucial for patience, understanding, and love and not anger to prevail when your dogs do experience bathroom accidents. Remember, their lives only revolve around you, and their goal is to please you. And to have these accidents are not their main priority. So, there's no need to hurt them or punish them a lot.

NOT GIVING THEM ENOUGH ATTENTION

Your dog loves you so much. This is the main reason why it would seek your presence and attention every time. But most owners nowadays are too busy with their lives they tend not to have enough time with their furballs anymore.

Lacking their desired attention makes dogs very sad and often unruly. Just to get the attention they want, they tend to do rebellious things such as wrecking your favorite stuff toy, chewing on your television's remote control, or even destroying your favorite shoes.

SEGREGATING THEM FROM THE PACK

According to ASPCA Organization, there are so many dogs and other pets abandoned in shelters every year. Statistics show that about 1.5 million animals are left by their families, 670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats are euthanized.

One of the main reasons why most owners leave their pets for good is because of how mischievous they can get sometimes. Other times, owners just got no choice but to move on with their lives without their pets because of some circumstances. But no matter what the reason is, pets wouldn't surely understand it and their hearts will surely break because of it.
