Kate Middleton and Prince William are set to visit Australia next month. As per reports, the royal tour comes after Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that he is to extend an invitation to the couple.

While many Australian families are now excited to see Duke and Duchess of Cambridge again after six years, "famed" commentators from the country reportedly believes that this is a "terrible idea." The reason being is that they see it as a "political move" from the Prime Minister.

According to Express UK, Lawrence Mooney, an Australian commentator and a writer for an Australian paper, stated that this announced invitation of the country's PM is another move "straight" out from the "Scotty playbook." He emphasized that branding the plan as a terrible idea is more directed toward PM Scott Morrison rather than Prince William and Kate Middleton.

He then explained that the nation is now in the "period of healing" after the devastating bushfire that happened. So, it seems that many individuals do not want them to come right now.

Based on previous claims, Kate Middleton and Prince William are expected to "embark" on a tour in Australia to extend their "support" to the victims of the recent bushfire. However, the commentators noted that Australians know "how to pull together for each other."

The nation knows the real "devastation" of experiencing a natural disaster. The knowledge of how to "start again" is already there. Accordingly, it is not fitting for a "couple of Brits" to visit the country, and ask "mundane questions" or make "quaint observations," he added.

Despite his calling the idea of the visit as improper and "terrible," Lawrence Mooney shared that he is neither a Republican or a "royal hater." He also went on to say that he does not see what benefit the people could get from Prince William and Kate Middleton's visit, especially in this period of realizing the aftermath of the bushfire crisis.

The publication then reported that the Prime Minister of Australia, Scott Morrison has been facing a lot of criticisms in recent times for the responses he made toward the recent crisis in the country. It was also said that he even provoked "furious outcries" from the like of Greta Thunberg.

The Prime Minister was also said to recently face a crisis in his post as Queen Elizabeth II was reportedly urged to remove him from his post. So, it became too "ironic" for the Aussies when he announced that he is extending his invitation to Prince William and Kate Middleton.
