Hello Games has introduced a bevy of changes in their latest "No Man's Sky" update, led by a new living ship. This should be welcome news for explorers although this is no ordinary ship. It is not similar to the usual metal-based vessels that games make available. This is an organic ship that needs proper care, a requirement to make sure that eventual owners will get the best out of them.

Getting hold of these living ships on "No Man's Sky" is possible through a special multi-mission campaign. The Void Eggs need to be incubated as he ventures out to complete the special missions. But the work does not stop there since players will have to nurture them to discover what these living ship can do, the PlayStation Blog reported. The multi-mission will tell the story of these organic ships came to be to give players a short-course on its history and how to get the most out of them.

The introduction of living ships is the latest ploy made by Hello Games to make the game a bit more different. It is part of the group's smaller but frequent updates that would be better than leaving players with the same material for months.

But of course, the living ships are only one of many changes for "No Man's Sky" players. Other things to watch out for are non-playing characters (NPCs) hailing a gamer through the communicator while in space. The twist is that these could be a call for help or something diabolical, meaning a player will have to make the right judgment call, Game Spot reported.

Other things to watch out for the "No Man's Sky" 2.3 update include new rare space encounters and the ability to warp as a group. This should account for more thrilling adventures and space encounters that should help make the game more enjoyable.

Aside from the new features, bug fixes are aplenty in the latest "No Man's Sky" update. That includes issues involving Proximity Switches, warp-related problems and the availability of Carbon Planters. To coincide with these fixes are optimizations as well. Update 2.3 includes a significant number of optimizations to better gameplay. That includes better terrain rendering, memory, load time, and water-rendering optimizations. The latest "No Man's Sky" patch is oozing with a lot of improvements, much of which can be viewed here. New bugs are likely to crop up but hopefully minor ones.
