Supernatural season 15 would be the final installment of The CW series, so it will likely tie all the loose ends before the show concludes. Some characters from the past will probably come back in the series finale as well, with some speculating Mark Sheppard's Crowley will return in the final run. However, it seems like his appearance is unlikely.

Previously, Sheppard already shared on his social media that he hadn't been called to participate in Supernatural season 15. While there's a chance that could change, it looks like the producers aren't that committed to bringing Crowley back. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Andrew Dabb discussed what would be the future of the character and where he is at present.

Dabb said Crowley is trapped in The Empty at the moment. He explained that The Empty is like a character for them; someone who has an agenda. For Crowley to be able to return; there should be a good reason for The Empty to let him wake up. However, the executive producer admitted that reason hasn't been presented yet. Thus, Crowley's return is still uncertain.

Yet, CarterMatt noted that reason could be presented before Supernatural season 15 ends. Crowley is one of the most iconic characters in the series. He became a huge part of the show over the past years and many were shocked and disappointed how he was written off. If the series would bring back some notable characters from the past, then there is a possibility Crowley might be one of them.

In another report, Supernatural season 15 plans to resurrect younger versions of Sam and Dean. According to some reports, the producers are searching for a 9-year-old actor to play Jared Padalecki's Sam, and a 13-year-old actor to play Jensen Ackles' Dean. Reportedly, the episode featuring their younger versions will air towards the end of the series.

The show managed to bring young versions of the two in season 11, with Colin Ford and Dylan Everett portrayed the younger Winchesters. However, one of the major complications is that these actors age, so they need to look for new young actors to fill the role. Meanwhile, the reason why the series brings Sam and Dean's younger counterparts is to show their early days together.

Reportedly, the series will feature the younger versions of the Winchesters going on their first hunt together. Perhaps, the show decided to bring young Sam and Dean so viewers would see how they were as kids. Since this would be the series finale, the story will further explore the origin of the characters before saying goodbye to them.

Supernatural season 15 will, reportedly, return on Monday, Mar. 16, on The CW.
