As early as last year Sony Interactive Entertainment shared some of the significant features of its next generation gaming console, PS5. Microsoft's also revealed some of the exciting features of the Xbox Series X last year along with the official reveal of the next generation gaming console. But, it looks like gamers have lots to look forward to in both the Xbox Series X and PS5 as teased by a game developer.

PS5 Xbox Series X Upcoming Features

A recent interview with 4A Games' Chief Technical Officer Oles Shishkovstov conducted by Digital Foundry revealed that there are lots of exciting features about the PS5 and Xbox Series X that we don't know yet. During the interview, the CTO said that he is more excited about the unannounced features of the upcoming gaming consoles. Shishkovstov also revealed that 4A Games is totally into ray tracing and has already turned its back on the old-school techniques.

The CTO also shared that the team has experimented in terms of ray tracing and has achieved spectacular results. He also assured that these results would soon be available in the company's future projects. It was earlier reported that both the PS5 and Xbox Series X would feature ray-tracing.

Sony Interactive Entertainment President Jim Ryan earlier said that what has been revealed about the PS5 so far are just the foundation of the future tech the company would officially unveil soon. So far, the Japanese console maker unveiled that Sony would feature a Solid State Drive that would revolutionize gaming. Xbox Series X also has this feature and was earlier reported to feature improved audio quality for games.

Both PS5 and Xbox Series X would also feature backward compatibility. This would allow gamers to enjoy a massive library of games as well as the chance to enjoy their favorite classic titles. As with massive content, Sony confirmed that the PS5 would feature a novel way of installing games, enabling players to select the content that they want to play first.

With improved graphics power and more powerful gaming consoles arriving in the future, it is anticipated that games would also increase in terms of quality and size. We do not have the full details yet of how the SSD of both the Xbox Series X and PS5 could help the gamers with their contents, but, it was presumed that it would definitely change the loading times and the way we play games.

Microsoft's Xbox Series X was revealed last year at The Game Awards. Sony's PS5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X are scheduled to arrive sometime in the holiday of 2020.
