Netflix has dropped a new poster for the much-awaited Kingdom Season 2. It featured the 10 main characters in the South Korean TV series along with some flesh-eating zombies.

The new poster prominently showed Crown Prince Yi Chang (Joo Ji Hoon) on top with a dreaded look on his face. In Season 2, Prince Chang is expected to face more challenges on how to defeat the zombies and find a cure on what they believe is an illness that turns people into violent flesh-eating killers.

Other characters that are featured in the poster are Prime Minister Cho Hak Joo (Ryu Seung Ryong) and his daughter, Queen Consort Cho (Kim Hye Joon), as well as medical assistant Seo Bi (Bae Doo Na). Prince Chang's best friend Moo Young (Kim Sang Ho) was also seen in the poster and so as the enigmatic Young Shin (Kim Sung Kyu).

Kingdom is set in the 16th century during the Joseon period. It tells the story of a crown prince who got suspected of being involved in a political conspiracy and was forced to embark on a mission to investigate the spread of a mysterious plague that has affected his father, the current emperor, and the country's southern provinces.

The Prince must keep his people safe and stop the plague from sweeping the nation. At the same time, he is addressing Minister Cho's greedy plan to kick him out of the palace for good.

Netflix earlier released a teaser trailer for Kingdom Season 2. It gave the fans a glimpse of what to expect in the second installment of the supernatural thriller series.

The teaser opened where the first season ended. The zombies are about to overrun Lee Chang's barricaded place for survivors. The prince can be heard saying towards the end of the clip, "They used to disappear when the sun rose" as he looks into a dark void while the chilling sound of the attacking zombies draws near.

It can be recalled that Season 1 ended in a scary scenario wherein the zombies rose from sleep when the sun rises. It was contrary to the survivors' belief that they are afraid of sunlight. This means the undead can attack in the daylight.

Meanwhile, it looks like Prince Lee Chang will finally reach the palace where he will confront the Queen. It can be seen in the trailer that he aims his sword at her as he declared that the palace doesn't belong to her. But the Queen just smirked at him.

Seo Bi is also getting closer to identifying the cause of the zombie outbreak. Will she find the cure in time? Will Lee Chang regain control of his kingdom and save his father? Kingdom Season 2 is set to premiere on March 13 on Netflix.
