Korean actor Lee Min Ho is taking all possible ways to promote his upcoming K-drama, The King: The Eternal Monarch. His latest trick is on snow.

Lee Min Ho shared, on Instagram, a couple of photos that showed he wrote "The King" on snow to promote his new TV drama. SBS TV has yet to confirm a premiere date for the series but it is expected to kick off in mid-2020.

The King: The Eternal Monarch is Min Ho's comeback K-drama after he completed his mandatory military service in April 2019. The 31-year-old heartthrob was last seen in Legend of the Blue Sea in 2016.

Min Ho has been confirmed to lead star the fantasy/romance TV series in May, a few weeks after he got discharged from the military. Aside from Min Ho, it also stars Goblin actress Kim Go Eun and Tempted actor Woo Do Hwan.

The King: The Eternal Monarch is about two parallel universes: one resembles modern-day Korea while the other is an alternate universe in which the country is ruled by a monarch. The emperor in the alternative universe, Lee Gon (Lee Min-ho), tries to close the door that connects both worlds. The portal was opened by demons who were unleashed by a deity into the human world.

A detective, Jung Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun), tries to protect the people in her modern world and the one she loves. The two will end up joining forces to fight evil.

Min Ho has been filming the fantasy romance series for months now. By the looks of it, it will be a comeback treat for his fans.

In a previous interview with the actor, he talked about health and his "second act" in acting. The City Hunter actor told Dazed Korea that he now has a different perspective after his enlistment in the military and returning from hiatus.

"I'm over 30 now, I've had a hiatus, and I'm going to be starting over after being reset. I heard that regardless of the career if I enter my tenth year, I'll get used to it, but I don't want to be like that. Compared to when I was in my first act, I have different attitudes and feelings about work," said Min Ho.

His new drama is a reunion for Min Ho and screenwriter Kim Eun Sook who previously worked together in 2013 hit K-drama The Heirs. It is also a reunion project for Kim Go Eun and Kim Eun Sook who worked together in the 2016 tvN fantasy series Goblin. Aside from the two hit K-dramas, Kim Eun Sook is also the writer behind another hit series, Descendants of the Sun.
