They say it's not truly comeback season unless the fans are going crazy on YouTube. Unfortunately for ARMYs, there's a sad reason why they are upset with the platform. The BTS fans have been streaming the official MV for the group's new single 'ON' since it was released on February 28. However, they have also noticed that YouTube has been deleting most of these views.

The official MV for 'ON' was dropped on February 28 at 12AM KST and not surprisingly, the fans were ready for the new BTS single. Millions of ARMYs even tuned in to YouTube minutes before the video's premiere. As soon as the MV was released, the fans worked hard to make sure it reached millions of views within the first 24 hours, streaming it continuously. Unfortunately, this didn't work too well for YouTube.

Fans soon began to notice that the views were being deleted by YouTube, as it is believed that the views came from bots. However, ARMYs argued that the platform is confused by the views since there are millions of fans around the world who are consistently viewing the 'ON' MV. Soon, the new hashtag #YtBring67MBack began trending on Twitter.

According to some posts, YouTube had allegedly deleted up to 70 million views from the 'ON' MV, believing that it came from bots. Although the video had already passed 90 million views in just a few hours after its premiere, the numbers immediately went back down to just a little over 20 million. The furious ARMYs then took to Twitter to demand the views to be brought back to the video.

So what exactly happened with the deleted views? Some believe that the views were deleted in line with YouTube's new policy. Nevertheless, fans continued to stream the new BTS MV, and it eventually reached up to more than 44 million views within the first 24 hours of its release.

The official 'ON' MV is the second music video for the lead single from BTS' album Map of the Soul: 7. The first one featured the group performing in a canal along with several drum dancers. In stark contrast, the official MV is a cinematic masterpiece that pays tribute to films like Lord of the Flies, Maze Runner, The Lion King, and more.

BTS' new album Map of the Soul: 7 is available now.
