Seungri is under fire once again for his action. This time around for partying with some friends ahead of his military enlistment on March 6.

According to reports, Seungri's friends appear to have thrown him a farewell party. One of his friends from his DJ label, Natural High Records, shared a snap of a cake with candles on top. The photo was captioned, "Cheer up for 18 months." This referred to the enlistment period in the country which is 18 months.

Reports also have it that some of the singer's friends from his scandal-laden club Burning Sun also attended the party. The former BIGBANG member received backlash from netizens after some pictures of him at the party made it on social media.

"How powerful must he be that he escapes everything and goes to the military like that," one commented. Another noted that the singer doesn't look embarrass of all the scandals he has been involved with.

Some fans, however, defended Seungri's action. A fan noted that the "1, 2, 3!" singer was not found guilty of any crime as the prosecution failed to find strong evidence to convict him hence there is no reason for netizens to get mad at him for attending a farewell party with his friends.

Seungri had been under investigation by the police and prosecution for the past year for soliciting prostitution, embezzlement, bribery, illegal gambling, and more. The judiciary dismissed both warrants requested by the police and prosecution for Seungri.

The K-pop idol was originally set to enlist in the military on March 25, 2019. However, due to the investigation regarding the Burning Sun and other scandals, Seungri put in a request for his enlistment to be delayed. South Korea's Military Manpower Administration granted a three-month postponement.

The military service is mandatory for every man in South Korea but they can only delay it five times with acceptable reasons but still have to enlist before they turn 31. Seungri is now 29. He was not given another chance to delay his conscription and was asked to enlist on March 6.

Meanwhile, the four remaining members of BIGBANG are set to have their comeback at the 2020 Coachella Festival stage next month. BIGBANG fans, also called V.I.P., are counting the days before the April 10 comeback of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, and Daesung. VIP has been trending the #BigBangIsAlive for the K-pop group's comeback.

YG Entertainment has yet to make an announcement whether or not BIGBANG will release a new album after Coachella. Seungri left the group and announced his retirement from the industry on March 11, 2019.
