Prince William and Kate Middleton's three-day-tour of Ireland is about to come to an end, and there is one thing that the Duke of Cambridge regrets the most while he's there. While having a chat with the country's locals, the future king revealed a hilarious revelation, which was caught in a video.
In a clip posted to an Irish adventure company's Twitter account, the Cambridges could be seen walking on the Howth coast. They then came across a group of royal watchers, who were gathered in hopes of seeing the royal couple.
Kate Middleton tried to start a conversation, asking if all of them were living in Ireland. "Do you all live here? It's stunning," she said. She then thanked all of them for dropping by to say hi and praised the magnificent view of the country.
Prince William, on the other hand, added that they came by to get some fresh air and revealed they had a beautiful day. One fan then asked how was their stay and if they were enjoying Ireland, to which the Duchess of Cambridge assured that they loved their trip.
As Ireland is famous for its pint of Guinness, one local asked Prince William if he already had a drink of it. The second in line to the throne then expressed his regret that he hadn't done so. However, he said that it was his goal to do it before he left the country. "I've had two sips so far. Every time [I'm about to] have a third, it gets taken away from me! I'll finish a pint by the time I leave," he explained.
According to Hello! Magazine, Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in Ireland on Tuesday and already paid a visit to the Guinness Storehouse's Gravity Bar. However, despite his visit to the bar, he still failed to finish a glass of the famous drink.
Meanwhile, in his speech, Prince William asked the U.K. and Ireland to maintain its wonderful bond despite the Brexit. He said that the relationship between the two countries' peoples were more important compared to the legal treaties between the states, BBC noted. He also urged these two nations not to be "bound by the wrongs of the past."
Prince William and Kate Middleton's Ireland trip is their first official visit to the country. On their second day, they spent much of their time talking to the young people. His speech at the Museum of Literature in Dublin reflected Queen Elizabeth II's own comments on her historic visit to Ireland in 2011. He even quoted his grandmother when he said that the islands had "experienced more than their fair share of heartache and turbulence."
