Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were with Queen Elizabeth for Sunday mass in Windsor. Reports stated that Her Majesty personality invited her grandchildren to join her for the church service as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex make their last rounds of royal engagements this week.

According to a source, it was a "really sweet gesture" for Queen Elizabeth to invite Prince Harry and Meghan for her regular Sunday ritual. It showed that despite what is going on, the Sussex pair is still considered a family.

Prince Harry, however, have spent a number of times with his grandmother since his return to London from Canada. The Duke of Sussex had hearty Sunday lunch with Queen Elizabeth on March 1 and he was scene spending an afternoon in Buckingham Palace the next day.

The church visit with Prince Harry, Meghan and the Queen comes as Her Majesty told her grandson that they are always welcome back if they decide that life in North America is not for them. Prince Harry and Meghan are set to embark on their own journey away from the cushion and protection of the royal family.

On Monday, March 9, Prince Harry and Meghan are going to have their final royal engagement. They will be reunited with the whole family for the Commonwealth Day service in Windsor.

The event will cap off a two-month drama that started when Prince Harry and Meghan made public their plans to step back as working royals. The couple stated their desire to be financially independent and their need for less media scrutiny on their official website.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could not enjoy these liberties because of their former status as working royals. Now that this is off the table, Prince Harry and Meghan are free to embark on their private ventures.

Prince Harry and Meghan have been considering this new life since the couple said in October that the media scrutiny and the attacks, particularly on Meghan, has been damaging to their mental health. They have been discussing their need to step back since with the Queen and the other members of the senior royal family.

Queen Elizabeth said in January that she has allowed Prince Harry and Meghan to step back and spend their time in Canada. However, the Queen also said that their arrangement will be reviewed 12 months later.

Prince Harry and Meghan will officially no longer be working royals effective March 31.
