It has finally been confirmed that BTS V will be singing for Itaewon Class' Original Soundtrack (OST). Kim Taehyung will be supporting his good friend Park Seo Joon by lending his voice for one of the drama's tracks.

According to a report by Soompi, confirmation of BTS V's participation came at the heels of reports that the singer was in talks to come on board as one of the artists in the Itaewon Class OST.

V will reportedly be performing the 12th track in the Itaewon Class OST entitled Sweet Night. The track will be released on online music sites on March 13.

Apart from singing the track, BTS V is also producing the track himself and teased that the song will be an indie-pop song with acoustic vibes.

Even before the news became official, ARMYs and V stans were already celebrating the development on Twitter and other social media. When rumors first broke out about Vs potential participation in the Itaewon Class OST, local and foreign fans hosted a Twitter party to share their excitement and expectation about the project, All Kpop reported.

V also trended on Twitter around the globe with the hashtag #TaehyungOSTisComming. He also landed on No. 4 on Japanese social media site Twipple.V instantly dominated Naver's Top 30 most liked new section and ranked #2 in Naver's most viewed articles.

He also trended at No. 8 and No. 10 on Naver's real-time searches.Even before V's song could hit the airwaves, music site Melon already recorded that search tags for V's OST track have already grown quite popular on the site.

The V mania is not just limited to Korea because the hashtag #金泰亨献唱梨泰院CLASS (Kim Taehyung sings Itaewon Class OST) entered the trending topics in Weibo and a surge for V's real name Kim Taehyung also trended on popular music sites in China.

It comes as no surprise that V was more than willing to participate in the Itaewon Class OST. V and Park Seo Joon as known to be good friends and are actually part of the Wooga Squad along with other celebrities Choi Woo Shik, Park Hyung Sik, and Peak Boy. The group of friends have been known to go out of their way to support each other's project with every opportunity.

Parasite actor Choi Woo Shik also recently sent a food truck to the set of Itaewon Class to support his buddy Park Seo Joon on his top rated drama.
