Prince Harry's visibility in his final royal engagements during the first week of March might have exposed him to coronavirus. The Duke of Sussex was advised to take appropriate measures because he might he had contact with other exposed individuals.

On March 6, Prince Harry joined Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton at the opening of the Silverstone Experience Centre. According to The Guardian, Prince Harry hugged Hamilton at this event but two days before, the professional racer was at the WE Day UK charity in London.

At the same charity, actor Idris Elba and Sophie Trudeau, the wife of Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, were also present. Elba and Sophie have recently confirmed they've tested positive for COVID-19 and are now in self-isolation.

The Guardian reported that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are taking measures at their home in Canada. The Duke of Sussex was able to leave the U.K. and arrive in his home in Vancouver before the Canadian prime minister issued a lockdown. They are also self-isolating after their recent travel.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) 80 percent of coronavirus cases are mild. Those below 60 years old and without any pre-existing conditions like diabetes and hypertension may experience manageable symptoms.

However, this also means that younger people like Prince Harry may have the virus and not know it and become a carrier. Thus, observing self-isolation, social distancing and proper hygiene are the recommended preventive measures against the virus since it can be deadly for the elderly and the immunocompromised.

According to Daily Express, Prince Harry is extremely worried for his grandmother and father amid the escalation of COVID-19 infections in the U.K. Sources said that the Sussex royals have talked to Queen Elizabeth, who is 93 years old, and Prince Charles, who is 71 years old. Prince Harry told his elderly relatives to take precautions as well.

The royal family got together on March 9 for the Commonwealth Day service. They were advised not to shake hands or be in close proximity to the public as a preventive measure.

To beef up their protection, Meghan has reportedly sanitized their home in Canada. She has instructed her household staff to wear latex gloves and observe a strict hygiene protocol. As they are in self-isolation, only a few of their staff are able to interact with the Sussexes.
