Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's long-waited wedding is set to happen on May 29. It took several months before the couple was able to finalize and announce the date due to several constraints. This is why many individuals, especially fans and supporters, reportedly empathize with them.

However, due to the series of unfortunate events happening in various parts of the globe, there is a huge possibility that the wedding might get canceled again. In fact, it will already serve as the third time they would cancel their wedding as per claims.

According to Hello! magazine, the Buckingham Palace has already released a formal statement regarding Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's wedding. It was said that the reception inside the Palace after the ceremony has been now canceled due to the apparent COVID-19 outbreak in the United Kingdom and other countries.

It was also explained by the spokesperson that while the engaged couple is looking forward to their big day, they are also reportedly looking after the safety of their family and friends. Alongside the government's advice, this was said to be the reason why the reception will no longer take place.

Observer added that it remains unknown, however, if the wedding will still take place on the same day. Even so, the official statement revealed that the couple has been gravely considering all of the factors that will play on May 29. Accordingly, they are reportedly "reviewing" all of the arrangements for their wedding day.

It was further shared that Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are likely considering a private ceremony for their wedding, which will only include a handful of people including mainly their families. But, as of the moment, it is quite hard to tell yet since both of their families have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

The British Royal Family, including Princess Beatrice's, has been reported to already observe "self-isolation" in their respective locations. Therefore, their planned engagements and event for the next few weeks are already either postponed or canceled as well.

As of today, the COVID-19 case in the United Kingdom is deemed to be "worsening." The number of people who have tested positive for the virus has increased to 2,626 with a total of 104 deaths.

Meanwhile, in Italy, the virus outbreak is deemed to be much worse. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's home country has the highest number of positive cases outside China. There are now 35,713 confirmed cases with 2,978 deaths.
