The Resident season 3 episode 19 is coming next week on Fox, with the title "Support System." This episode may likely see more of Barrett Cain and how he's willing to do whatever he can during desperate times. He will try to keep a crisis under wraps while trying to preserve his own self-image at the same time.
In The Resident season 3 episode 19, Cain is aware of an emergency breaking out at the hospital. It looks like he doesn't want anyone to know what's really going on and will try to keep in a secret from other people. In fact, he'll also recruit Ezra to help him keep things under wraps. This episode will define who Cain is as a person, as well as what's really going through on his mind.
It can be noted that Cain was very happy because the surgery on one of his patients was successful in episode 18. However, his happiness quickly disappeared after receiving a call. It has been detected that his patient was carrying a superbug, based on the lab report. The superbug may end up infecting the whole hospital, so Cain will likely cover up what happened in the next episode.
As for what else is coming in The Resident season 3 episode 19, Nic comes up with a support system for a patient in need of a lung transplant. The title alone suggests that this storyline will the major focus of the next episode, and we'll see Nic trying his best to help a patient. Meanwhile, there's bad news for Kit as the condition of her son-in-law continues to worsen.
In the previous episode, Conrad and Kit treated a patient diagnosed having a lot of fluid in his lungs. Also, Conrad and AJ assisted another patient in need of delicate surgery. Bell, on the other hand, is determined to sell his vitamins and appeared on a TV talk show. His hard work paid off as the audience was supportive and commended his skills.
At the moment, the series is unable to finish production on season 3, so some of the episode release dates may change and the show may run until May. There may not be some big storylines as well, given that the production halted due to COVID-19 concerns. Viewers should be prepared for the delay and some stories will be carried through season 4, though the series hasn't been renewed as of yet.
