Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's wedding has faced tons of controversies and challenges since its official announcement. After getting engaged last September, the couple has been hit with a series of "disasters," which caused massive setbacks to happen again and again. This is also the reason why many individuals deemed the couple's nuptials "cursed."

As per Mirror UK, it seemingly appears that their wedding is "destined for disaster." While the date has been already announced, it is very likely that they will need to postpone it again due to the coronavirus pandemic.

After their engagement last year, royal experts and analysts speculated that major setbacks were experienced by Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Primarily, the snap General Election happened amid Brexit.

It was said that royal announcements cannot be made during elections. Accordingly, the couple had to wait before they could announce anything about their wedding plans.

The event was then followed by the Sussex couple's "bombshell" documentary interview with ITV. During the course, this was also followed by the Duke of York's "disastrous" interview with BBC.

Several royal commentators and analysts previously shared that these events all affected the couple's plans, including their engagement party. Although it was carried out successfully, the happy event was immediately superseded by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's announcement of stepping down as senior royals. Nevertheless, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were able to set the date and venues of their wedding reception and ceremony.

As recalled by the reports, the wedding date was set on May 29. They will reportedly tie the knot in front of 150 guests inside St James's Palace, which will be followed by a reception inside the Buckingham Palace.

However, the reception has been already "axed" due to the pandamic that has hit the United Kingdom "dreadfully." While it was believed that the couple is still "reviewing" their plans for their big day, some royal experts reportedly shared that they might cancel it and move the date on a much later note again.

According to Express UK, royal expert, Omid Scobie recently speculated that Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will most likely move their wedding in 2021. Although it is also possible for the couple to still go with the ceremony in May, they will only be allowed to have two guests as their witnesses.

The royal expert also noted that in this time of crisis due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the couple has been also facing a much graver challenge since Edo's family resides in Italy, and the country is now the epicenter of the virus.

The same is also true for the York Princess as the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family are now self-isolating. Therefore, they might decide to call off their wedding this year to focus on the conditions of their respective families.
