Prince Philip is once again rumored to be dead amidst the coronavirus outbreak. Of course, there is no truth about the malicious claim, but an unearthed report revealed that the Duke of Edinburgh already made requests for his own funeral arrangements.

In a 2018 report by The Mirror, via Express, Queen Elizabeth II's husband reportedly preferred a simple funeral when he dies. As the Duke of Edinburgh and the better half of Her Majesty, he is entitled to have a full-blown, special state funeral.

However, Prince Philip preferred to have "something a little more simple." He is said to be closely involved with the arrangements, which are being coordinated by the Lord Chamberlain's Office at Buckingham Palace.

Instead of laying his remains at Westminster Abbey, the duke wants it to be at St James' Palace instead. Prince Philip allegedly doesn't like the "fuss" of letting his body lay in state at Westminster Hall or having a full state funeral.

The Palace of Westminster staff is said to be often on alert as they need to prepare a state funeral in six hours notice in case something happened. However, Prince Philip is only requesting to have a more intimate event.

Sadly, the public might not be allowed to see his body, and only family, friends, and heads of state from Commonwealth countries could pay a visit. They, too, are maybe the only ones who can attend the service at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle with a military-style funeral if this happens.

It has been known that Prince Philip is dedicated to his military appointments. Earlier reports revealed that he was disappointed when Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne, as it meant he needed to renounce his naval career.

Prince Philip is now 98 years old, and his health often sparks concern. With his advancing age, he is often rumored to be dead on social media for a number of times in the past. The rumors once again circulated amidst the coronavirus outbreak.

So, to stop the malicious claims once and for all, a palace insider confirmed that Prince Philip is "absolutely fine." He is reportedly in Windsor Castle with Queen Elizabeth as they are in isolation due to the pandemic.

Telegraph editor Gareth Davies told the Express that sources close to the Buckingham Palace confirmed Prince Philip is absolutely fine, despite the false claims. In a tweet, he also questioned the move of the people who lied about the duke's health and asked them to stop. "It's weird and incites panic. We don't need that right now," he said.
