President Donald Trump wanted the U.S. to return to business as usual after 15 days of lockdown despite the coronavirus outbreak in the country. As other nations halt all activities, from traveling to business and work, among others, the POTUS revealed they would make a decision about the way they wanted to go, which received criticisms not just from the netizens but from public officials and health experts as well.

"WE CANNOT LET THE CURE BE WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM ITSELF," Melania Trump's husband tweeted. "AT THE END OF THE 15-DAY PERIOD, WE WILL MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHICH WAY WE WANT TO GO!"

Donald Trump's tweet quickly got everyone's attention. His supporters and critics alike promptly commented on his post, but the majority seemed to criticize his planned move.

One Twitter user called the president insane, brainless, factless, zero empathy, and no decency man. American author John Pavlovitz also couldn't help himself but comment on his threat.

He said his all-cap tweet and nonsensical words couldn't deny the fact that he "suppressed information," declined test kits, lied repeatedly," and put the lives of millions of people in danger because of his lack of empathy and knowledge about the virus. He also questioned why Donald Trump was only tweeting amid great national health and financial crisis instead of leading the nation.

American entrepreneur William Legate added that if the Americans would go back to work, the crisis would just get worse with the possibility of having over 1 million dead, threatening the collapse of the country's entire healthcare system. In addition, American lawyer Jill Wine-Banks said no one trusts him or his team to decide for his people. Lastly, American critic Bishop Talbert Swan asked him to do America a favor by resigning.

According to Business Insider, Donald Trump wanted to revive the U.S. economy, which was severely affected by the coronavirus outbreak. The states and public health experts urged some measures to follow to avoid the widespread of the virus, also known as Covid-19, like the closing of schools, businesses, and public spaces.

This results in putting the entire industries on hold, declining stock market, and increasing the unemployment rate. As of this writing, Al Jazeera noted that there are more than 53,000 cases of coronavirus in the U.S. and over 700 deaths. Public-health experts warned that the disease is highly contagious and can be easily spread by people with no symptoms, so they supremely advise people to stay at home and practice social distancing.
