Meghan Markle used to star in the TV series Suits on USA Network. Her chemistry and closeness with co-star Patrick J. Adams were good for the show but it apparently made her friends quite uncomfortable.

According to royal biographer Andrew Morton, the Suits production was ecstatic about Meghan and Patrick's romantic pairing. The match on television paid off big time because the two stars had such attractive on-screen chemistry and their story is one of the reasons fans follow the series.

That same chemistry, however, apparently made Meghan's friends uncomfortable. The show debuted on television in June 2011 and Meghan was to get married to her first husband, Trevor Engelson, by September of that same year in Jamaica.

Morton said that filming Suits made Meghan and Patrick develop a familiarity with each other that was so intense. It sprung from working up close and personal on the set several months prior to Meghan's first wedding.

The royal expert said that it's no secret many actors end up falling in love with their on-screen partners, like Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt. In fact, Patrick himself fell in love with his current wife, Troian Bellisario, when they did a movie in 2009. But while Patrick and Troian's relationship remained solid and they now have a daughter together, Meghan and Trevor ended up getting divorced in 2013.

Meghan and Patrick's closeness on and off the set sparked talks that they may have fallen for each other. Patrick, however, explained why he and Meghan had such a bond so different than their other co-stars on Suits.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Patrick said that they both were the youngest on the cast. They were also the actors with the least experience. In a way, Patrick said that they grew up together on Suits hence they have that special connection.

Meghan starred opposite the actor as his love interest for seven seasons on the cable network series. They both decided to leave the show when Meghan had to quit acting to become a member of the royal family.

Patrick relayed that he and Meghan had a great time filming their last scenes together. Coincidentally, it was the wedding of their characters, Mike Ross and Rachel Zane.

A few months later, Meghan was marching down the aisle for real to marry Prince Harry. Patrick was one of their wedding guests, along with his long-time girlfriend, and now wife, Troian.
