Meghan Markle has, repeatedly, admitted how the British press and media "mistreated" her ever since she and Prince Harry became an item. While direct proof and evidence have yet to be presented, one of the Duchess' former co-star, reportedly, broke his silence recently about the issue. As revealed, Simon Rex said that he was offered "a lot of money" to lie about the true nature of his relationship with the Duchess of Sussex.

According to Harper's Bazaar, Simon was a co-star of Meghan Markle in the 2005 series, Cuts. The actor ,reportedly, shared in an episode of the Hollywood Raw podcast that he was being fronted as one of the Duchess' ex-boyfriends by various publications.

However, he cleared out in his interview that none of these things are true. He then said that there was even a time before when he was "bribed" with over $70,000 by a British tabloid to claim that he and Meghan used to date and hook up.

As explained, though, Simon Rex attested that "nothing happened" between him and Meghan Markle. "We never even kissed," he added.

The actor, who was also known as Paris Hilton's former partner, further went on to share that he "hung out once" with the now-Duchess of Sussex but, in a "very none-datey" way. He said that they met on a TV show and just got lunch, which was the very extent of their relationship.

After explaining what happened, he was asked why he did not do it. Simon responded that he was not interested since it "didn't feel right" to lie and "f*** up the Royal f***ing Family."

While some publications went on to remind the public how far the British media could go in tearing Meghan Markle apart, E! News seemingly has a different take about the matter. As shared in its report, it was noted that Simon Rex had a different "tune" in 2018 when he revealed his date with the Suits actress.

It was said in the report that the actor apparently joked about not having a "second date" with Meghan because "she was turned off." As, reportedly, revealed by Simon himself, he tried to kiss Meghan Markle but "she pulled back" because he had "garlic breath."

He also, reportedly, said that it was all "dumb" and "embarrassing." Nevertheless, he pointed out that time that the Duchess was not rude or anything as they laughed about it. In the end, though, he was said to deem the whole experience "sucked" since Meghan "friend-zoned" him after.
