Prince Harry and Meghan Markle let their kid, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, joined their tour of Africa last year, making it his royal debut. However, it looks like the young Sussex is about to miss a significant milestone within the royal family that the Cambridge kids experienced due to the coronavirus outbreak in the United Kingdom.
Although the Sussexes already stepped down as senior members of the royal family, they were still expected to attend major events within the monarchy. This includes Queen Elizabeth II's birthday celebration, called Trooping the Colour.
Here, a spectacular parade is made to honor Her Majesty. It has been a tradition that the royal family will gather at the Buckingham Palace's balcony to watch the procession outside the gates.
According to Daily Express, Prince William and Kate Middleton's kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, already made their debut on the balcony in recent years. Their youngest child even stole the hearts of the many when he waved toward the crowds while being carried by his father.
This year, fans hope to see Archie's Trooping the Colour debut. Sadly, it will never happen after Buckingham Palace announced that the special event is now canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
"In line with Government advice, it has been agreed that The Queen's Birthday Parade, also known as Trooping the Colour, will not go ahead in its traditional form," it said. "A number of other options are being considered, in line with relevant guidance."
Anyhow, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's kid already made his royal debut when he joined his parents' visit to Africa, India Today noted. Here, the royal couple gave everyone a full glimpse of their then-four-month-old kid. They even posted a couple of videos where Archie could be seen giggling while she was being carried by her mom, making their way to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Mrs Tutu for their legacy foundation at Cape Town.
In the first clip posted on the fan page, Harry and Meghan Updates, Meghan Markle was holding Archie on her arms while Prince Harry was walking with them toward the foundation. The first-time mom could be heard making adorable sounds to make her baby smile, while his dad told his kid he was about to meet Archbishop Tutu. "Archie will get to meet Arch," he said.
To their surprise, Archie made an adorable giggling sound and gave everyone a sweet smile after Prince Harry repeated said "Arch" in the second clip. This scene made the Duke and Duchess of Sussex smiled altogether.
