Melania Trump has faced a lot of criticisms over the weekend after what happened on Friday. As reported, the First Lady of the United States urged everyone to continue observing the social distancing guidelines given by the officials. She also encouraged everyone to wear masks since CDC largely recommends it, especially after the briefing they gave on that same day.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that everyone should wear masks, whether medical or not, since the United States has now become the epicenter of COVID-19. The officials also advised the public to utilize even cloth-based and t-shirt face coverings, especially when going out.

The recommendations and advice came after the surge of the confirmed cases and deaths due to the virus. Also, it was said that the latest data has shown that masks and face coverings will decrease the risk of further transmissions of the virus. This is because there are also virus carriers who do not show any symptoms.

According to Express UKMelania Trump seemingly took the CDC's advice and shared it on her social media accounts. While she has intended to disseminate information and give support to the American public, she was criticized, instead.

As revealed, the First Lady's husband, Donald Trump blatantly said on Friday that he does not "want" to wear masks or face coverings. This was said to be just after CDC shared its advice and recommendations.

Despite his wife's and the CDC's statements, the US President, reportedly, continued to explain that he does not see himself wearing one. Although he, later on, claimed that he might change his mind, he stated that the crisis due to the pandemic will soon pass.

In a similar report published by Pop Culture, it was shared that Melania Trump also went on to say that the American people, along with her and the rest of the public, "can stop [the COVID-19 crisis] together." However, due to the "clash" of her and her husband's statements, many netizens reportedly pointed out how the First Lady must first give her advice to her husband.

Several individuals also said that Melania's husband might be the virus after all since he does not feel or want to wear masks for himself. Another netizen said that she should tell her husband "that," with hashtags "BeBest Mr. President."

Although the comment section of Melania Trump's post had been filled with criticisms and objections, there were also a few fans and followers of the First Family who praised and commended the First Lady. It was reported that they all thanked her for her commitment and hard work amid the crisis.
