Red Velvet's Irene may not have been aware that fans have been shipping her with former Music Bank co-host Park Bo Gum but she did admit that he made her pulse race at times.

The admission was a breakthrough for shippers who wanted Park Bo Gum and Irene to date in real life, reported Koreaboo.

In a recent interview with Radio Star, Red Velvet's Irene was asked about her former Music Bank co-host Park Bo Gum where she revealed some juicy details about their working relationship.

Irene and Park Bo Gum became fan-favorite co-hosts of Music Bank from May 2015 to June 2016 before Bo Gum started filming of Moonlight Drawn By Clouds.

During the time, fans were keeping an eye on Irene and Bo Gum's behavior and looking for signs that the sweetness they see on stage was rooted in something more.

It can be recalled that Irene and Park Bo Gum had great chemistry on stage. They were very comfortable with each other and they were both visually stunning, making them highly shippable.

Park Bo Gum was also very caring towards Irene, often veering off the script to offer compliments or doing thoughtful things like offering a jacket or assisting Irene to descend the stairs. On some occasions, Bo Gum caused fans' hearts to flutter because he called Irene by her real name.

In the Radio Star interview, Irene said that she was not aware that there were dating rumors that surrounded her and Park Bo Gum.

However, she shared some of his positive attributes that made her pulse race at times.

"He is very well-mannered. When there were stairs, he would take my hand and help me down," Irene recalled.

When asked to describe her ideal type, the Red Velvet member said that she was looking for a guy who was kind and warmhearted, which were the very same characteristics she used to describe her former Music Bank co-host. It will be no surprise is more shippers come out because of Irene's latest statement.

Unfortunately, with Irene busy with Red Velvet activities and Park Bo Gum filming for the movie Wonderland and Record of Youth with Park So Dam, it may take a while for their paths to cross again.

Park Bo Gum was also rumored to be enlisting this spring after completing filming for his projects. He turns 28 on June 16 this year, Koreaboo reported.
