There are only a couple of episodes left this season, so viewers should be prepared for some big events. For instance, next week's episode proved to be an interesting one, especially for Dan.

Although there are still other contracts that need to be signed and negotiations between ABC and the studio, it looks like the series will be renewed rather than canceled. It's apparent that the cast members are still interested in doing the show.
In terms of ratings, the series is, reportedly, averaging a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and over 5.7 million live viewers each week. While these numbers are down compared to the first season, it's still the best comedy show on ABC when it comes to overall numbers.
