RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are all in the legal age to drink alcohol. Although BTS is always careful with the things that they say and do, knowing that a lot of ARMYs look up to them, they never deny the fact that they drink.
ARMYs have seen RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook drink on camera multiple times. From their Bon Voyage reality show to their live broadcasts, the BTS boys never shy away from taking a sip or two (or more).
But just because BTS is open with their drinking, that doesn’t mean that all of them are heavy drinkers. In fact, most of the boys have a low tolerance for alcohol. When a fan asked J-Hope to rank the members from highest to lowest in alcohol tolerance, he obliged.
1. Suga
Suga may be the lightest member of BTS, but don’t let his appearance fool you. Standing at 176 cm/5’9″and weighing only 59 kg/130 lbs., Suga can out-drink all of the BTS boys, according to J-Hope.
2. Jin
ARMYs have witnessed Jin drink during his Eat Jin segment on VLive. In one of his earlier broadcasts, he convinced his guest Jimin to drink with him on camera. When the younger member said that it may get them into trouble, Jin claimed that it’s good for his throat.
“If you have a scratch, you’ll use an alcohol swab to disinfect it, right? Drinking alcoholic beverage is to disinfect my throat,” Jin said. (Watch the clip here).
3. Jimin
Jimin is the shortest member of BTS and the second lightest in the group. But J-Hope said not to underestimate his size as he can tolerate alcohol better than the taller and heavier boys.
4. RM
J-Hope ranked RM in the middle. The BTS leader’s height may have helped him with his alcohol tolerance.
5. Jungkook
Although Jungkook appears to enjoy drinking, as he even happily posed with a wine bottle in one of his live broadcasts (Watch the clip here), he has a low alcohol tolerance and gets tipsy easily.
6. V
V is certainly not a heavy drinker like most of the BTS boys. He would even choose a non-alcoholic beverage if possible. (Check out the photo here).
7. J-Hope
J-Hope ranked himself as the member who has the lowest alcohol tolerance. While the BTS rapper enjoys a drinking session with the boys, he suddenly gets quiet and all red in just a few sips. (Check out the photo here).
