Fans had it wrong all along. BTS V finally revealed the meaning of his squad name with celebrity hyungs Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Sik, Peakboy, and Choi Woo Shik and it was nothing that fans thought about from their previous guesses.

According to a report by Kstarlive, fans originally thought that the Wooga in Wooga Squad stood for an abbreviation of actor (Baewoo) and singer (Gasu). It was believed that the abbreviation of the two words was the representation of the members' profession.

Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Shik are professional actors, starring in countless dramas and films together. Meanwhile, Park Hyung Sik and V are both Kpop idols who also starred in dramas. Park Hyung Sik was originally a member of ZE:A before landing acting projects while BTS member V appeared with him and Park Hyun Sik in the saeguk drama Hwarang. Peakboy, on the other hand, is a talented songwriter and rapper.

In a recent interview, BTS V, the youngest Wooga Squad member let fans in on the mystery and said that Wooga stood for the abbreviation of Are we family? ('Woori-ga Gajok-inka?') which is far more meaningful and fitting with its members' personalities.

It is no secret that the five members of Wooga Squad treat each other like brothers, going out of their way to support one another when it comes to new projects, even when they are overseas.

Most recently, all members of Wooga Squad celebrated the victory of Choi Woo Shik when the Parasite actors won Best Cast in the Screen Actors Guild Awards. They were even prouder when Parasite landed four historic wins at the Oscars 2020 Awards.

Park Seo Joon, BTS V, and Park Hyung Sik all congratulated Choi Woo Shik on social media and teased him mercilessly about forgetting the idea of growing a big ego. BTS V and Choi Woo Shik also spent time together in Los Angeles as BTS was promoting their recent comeback in the US.

Peakboy, Park Seo Joon were also present during the last leg of BTS' concerts in Seoul last year, cheering like fanboys in a sea of ARMYs. They also sent foode trucks to their youngest members' activity location, featuring his most unflattering photo.

When it came time for BTS V to support his hyung Park Seo Joon, he composed a meaningful song and performed it for his recent drama, Itaewon Class' OST. And when they went out to have fun without Park Hyung Sik who is serving in the military, they thoughtfully photoshopped him into their vacation pics, Koreaboo reported.
