WARNING: This article may contain spoilers for SEAL Team season 3 episode 20. Read at your own risk.

SEAL Team season 3 episode 20 is scheduled to arrive next month on CBS, with the title "No Choice in Duty." This episode serves as the season finale, though it was not originally planned. The series halted its production due to the COVID-19 outbreak and opted to deliver an alternative ending.

But while SEAL Team season 3 episode 20 is not the original season finale, there are still big stories coming in this episode. For instance, Sonny is back with the Bravo Team after spending some time in Texas. And as for Jason, his past could be somehow connected to their latest mission.

In the synopsis of the season finale, Sonny will escort Mandy on a condolence visit to the family of a fallen informant. Ray, on the other hand, leads the Bravo Team on an urgent mission. What's intense here is that the team has been confronted with a time-sensitive lead on a terrorist leader's location.

Meanwhile, Davis revealed to the team that the leader of the terrorist group they've been searching for is related to Jason's target from the past. Also, after being away from the team for a while, Sonny will finally join the Bravo Team in the mission in Afghanistan.

Viewers may need to wait for a while as SEAL Team season 3 episode 20 will be arriving within a few weeks. And although there may not be huge cliffhangers within this episode, it's still interesting to see where the series will lead the characters moving forward.

The series hasn't been renewed for the fourth installment at the moment. In terms of ratings, SEAL Team is, reportedly, averaging a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.8 million viewers. Even though the numbers declined compared to season 2, CarterMatt noted they're not sizable drops.

The series also performed well compared to the other shows of CBS. And beyond that, it manages to deliver stories that are important and relevant. The characters are relatable to active-duty military and each episode highlights important issues.

There are still a lot of interesting stories worth-exploring within the series, so it would be nice to see the series coming back for more. And if ever the renewal happens, the remaining episodes that weren't filmed this season may be part of the next installment as well.

SEAL Team season 3 episode 20 airs on Wednesday night, May 6, on CBS.
