What do Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles love to do? Prince William recently shared that his father liked to a lot walk both as a hobby and a fitness routine and the Prince of Wales apparently picked up on this from his mother, Queen Elizabeth.

In a recent interview with BBC, the Duke of Cambridge relayed that his father enjoys his walks too much. In fact, when Prince Charles had to self-isolate due to his COVID-19 diagnosis, Prince William was concerned that his father won't be able to do the thing that he loves most.

"He is a mad walker. Loves just waking," Prince William said in reference to Prince Charles. "So, I think he found it quite difficult," he added alluding to Prince Charles' need to quarantine while he was sick with COVID-19 in late March. "I think the hardest thing he found was having to stop and not being able to go and get a bit of fresh air and a walk."

Royal podcasters Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie said that Queen Elizabeth also loves to walk and can be described as a "mad walker." The Queen apparently walks her dogs all the time for 10 miles a day.

These days, however, Queen Elizabeth is isolating at Windsor Castle due to the coronavirus pandemic. She moved to this palace from London, where the virus epicenter is in the U.K.

It's unclear if the Queen is still able to do her daily walks with the dogs during this public health crisis. Prince William said that they are doing all they can to protect his grandmother and grandfather, Prince Philip, because they are most vulnerable to the virus due to their age their medical conditions.

Prince Charles said in some of his previous interviews that walking is very important for him because it helps stimulates his thinking.  However, with quarantine orders and lockdowns in place, Prince William is concerned for his father's mental health if he's cooped inside.

Fortunately, Prince Charles is staying with his Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, at Birkhall, Scotland while in isolation. They can cover a lot of ground and still comply with the social distancing guidelines since there are not much people around in his vast estate.

Prince William, on the other hand, is staying at Anmer Hall with his wife, Kate Middleton, and their three kids - George, Charlotte and Louis. The royal family have been keeping tables of each other via video conferencing during this lockdown.
