Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are tangled by legal issues today over her privacy case against Associated Newspapers. But, the Sussexes don't have to worry, as they are being represented by some of the top lawyers in the United Kingdom, including the late Princess Diana's former legal representative, Barrister David Sherborne.

Sherborne is said to be the leading barrister in the field of media and communication. He specializes in privacy, confidentiality, defamation, matrimonial, and sports law, Hello! Magazine noted.

Aside from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, he also represented other royalties, like Princess Diana. His other famous clients were Cherie and Tony Blair, Donald and Melania Trump, Chelsea Clinton, Sir Paul McCartney, Kate Moss, David Walliams, and the Sussexes' friend, Sir Elton John and David Furnish, among others.

According to Marie Claire, the hearing, which was conducted virtually, against The Daily Mail already began last week, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex heard some parts of it. The couple saw the trial as a "procedural step in a longer process," but they were said to be encouraged by the inquiry moving forward.

However, before the trial happens, there has to be a case management conference, so that the court will have a chance to understand and identify the real issue in dispute. It will have also let them know if they can narrow the case.

Ahead of the first hearing, Meghan Markle's text messages to her father, Thomas Markle, before the royal wedding in May 2018, were revealed in legal documents. On May 15, she texted her dad, saying she was trying to reach out to him all weekend through texts and calls but to no avail.

She then expressed her concern over his health and safety, taking every measure she could to protect him, but he never responded. She then asked him if he needed help or if they could send him security, begging him to get in touch with them and asking what hospital was he in.

Meghan Markle once again sent Thomas a text, telling him they decided to send him back the security group he once turned away to make sure he's safe. She once again pleaded for his response, stressing that his health was the most important among other issues. Finally, the senior Markle replied and said he had to stay in the hospital for a few days, but he was fine and refused the security she sent.
