Donald Trump's alleged theories regarding COVID-19 treatments have remained in circulation on various social media platforms. While the US President has already explained that he was just being "sarcastic," this has caused a huge backlash from several individuals.

On Thursday's White House briefing, the American leader seemingly asked the health officials to look into using "a very intense light" and "injecting disinfectants" to treat the novel coronavirus. This, reportedly, came after new research was presented to the US President claiming the effects of sunlight and disinfectant to the virus.

As noted, the effects centered on surfaces and not humans. However, it appeared that Donald Trump took a huge interest over its effectiveness as a treatment to COVID-19.

Shortly after making the statements, he has received tons of criticisms and objections from the public. One of his reported celebrity friends, Piers Morgan, even wrote an article about the matter for his column on the Daily Mail.

Based on the article, the celebrity, TV host, deemed the US President's "cure theories" as "batsh*t crazy." He also stated that these claims that Donald Trump made are not only "senseless" and "stupid," but these are also "going to kill people."

Piers Morgan also added that these statements are, "by far," the "most reckless and dangerous" things that the President has stated. Not to mention, he used the "most powerful podium" on Earth to air them.

Despite explaining that he was only sarcastically asking the reporters, Donald Trump has appeared to dislike what his "celebrity friend" wrote about him.

According to Business InsiderTrump "unfollowed" Piers Morgan on Twitter. This was, reportedly, confirmed by the celebrity host himself when he posted about it on his account.

It was said that he posted a tweet when he found out that the US President unfollowed him on the platform. He also, reportedly, shared that this seemingly happened hours after his article was published on the online outlet.

No further comments or statements were heard from both camps. It has also remained unknown whether Donald Trump and Piers Morgan are still friends after the debacle.

The same publication revealed that Trump and Morgan have shared good ties since 2008. As stated, this was when the TV host appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice Season 8.

It was also shared that the TV host previously said that he has written over 80 pieces about the US President on his column. While the majority of the articles were "critical," the rest of them have been "supportive," he explained.
