Riverdale season 4 finale is arriving next week on The CW, with the title "Killing Mr. Honey." This episode brings different stories and the title alone suggests that the gang is planning something against Principal Honey. While they may possibly try to murder him, it looks like everything is just a fiction.

In Riverdale season 4 finale, Jughead received a letter from the University of Iowa asking him to submit a story. He worked on the twisted fate about the revenge fantasy of the gang against Principal Honey as he ruined their senior year.

The promo Riverdale season 4 finale also proved to be a weird one and teased what are the potential plans of the gang to take down Mr. Honey. Some of the students are wearing a rabbit mask and it seems like they're trying to scare the principal.

Mr. Honey is being offed, but only in Jughead's story. The clip even showed that all of them are raising their hands when asked if they have experience dealing with a dead body. This is a reminder that there's a lot of crazy stuff happening within this world.

But, will they actually kill Mr. Honey in real life? That's unlikely, as everything that's happening is just a manifestation of Jughead's story to get into the school. It's dark and twisted, but the character tends to dive deeper to deliver an interesting story.

Meanwhile, this episode wasn't meant to be the season finale. Because of the current global health crisis, most The CW shows halted their production -- including Riverdale. The story of this series was impacted the most, as the characters are getting older and may now need to move on after high school.

There could be a lot of changes moving forward and some of them go elsewhere to continue their lives. In fact, some of the teens' parents aren't appearing anymore, including Jughead's father, FP Jones. Some departure may also be announced at some point before the start of the new installment.

The episode could also be a weird conclusion, but the remaining episodes that weren't filmed might be included in the next season. There are still a lot of stories that needed to be explored in the already-renewed season 5.

Riverdale season 4 finale airs on Wednesday night, May 6, on The CW. The episode is directed by Madchen Amick and written by Ted Sullivan.
