Eminem wouldn't let anyone uninvited to pass his property. Reports have it that the rapper confronted an intruder who scaled the security gate of his property in Detroit. However, the intruder has another reason for breaking into the rapper's house.

The 26-year-old Matthew David Hughes reportedly made his way to the house by smashing the kitchen window. The alarm went off and it woke Marshall Bruce Mathers III, also known as Eminem. The "Slim Shady" singer got up and found the uninvited guest in his living room.

Eminem reportedly confronted the intruder and it turned out that he had no intention to steal anything from him. Apparently, all Hughes wants it to have a face-to-face meeting with the 8 Mile actor.

The incident took place earlier this month at around 4 a.m. at the home of the multi-awarded artist in a gated community in Detroit, Michigan. The guard at the property gate was reportedly sleeping when Hughes entered the compound.

A rep of the singer told XXL magazine that it was actually Mathers who restrained Hughes until the police arrived. The intruder was taken into custody.

He was booked on charges of first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building. Hughes was placed on a $50,000 bail and has yet to be released from jail.

The news of the home invasion at Eminem's house came after the rapper donated a pair of his Air Jordan 4 collaboration with Carhartt and a vintage Undercrown Detroit Slim Tee. In his Instagram post this week, Mathers said he has teamed up with shoe auction site StockX to sell the shoes and the proceeds from it will be donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The rapper earlier provided Mom's Spaghetti to healthcare workers at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.

Currently, the pairs of Carhartt x Eminem Jordan 4 Retro are also on sale on StockX. The kicks were first released in 2015 when the rapper and the Michael Jordan brand placed only 10 pairs on eBay for bidding. The proceeds from the sale at the time went to the Marshall Mathers Foundation.

Eminem released a surprise album, Music To Be Murdered By, earlier this year. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 279,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. It also made the 47-year-old rapper the first artist to have ten consecutive albums debut at No. 1 in the U.S.
